What Anita has had to do is after a few days lock down the ability to comment on her posts. This fixed most of it, as it seemed most of the spam would come on old posts. Not sure if this is the case for you or not. You might want to ask her if she has any other ideas - this was happening quite awhile ago & I don't know is she is doing something different now.
